Success as an angler starts long before you leave home. For each species of fish you're targeting, you'll need to select the right gear and know the ideal conditions. Weather, time of day, and tide windows will all play a factor.

With Environments, you can save up to five locations from the profile page of the COROS app. The conditions of these locations can then be accessed with just a swipe on your COROS NOMAD, allowing you easy access to 96-hour forecasts, sunrise/sunset times, and tidal data to help time your outings when fish are most active.

On the Water

Even with the proper planning, conditions shift as the day unfolds. COROS NOMAD keeps you informed with live data from your saved Environments to monitor changing wind and barometric pressure to adjust your tactics in real time.

In the Fishing Activity Mode, COROS NOMAD will record where you fish and environmental conditions while casting. When you land a fish, Catch Logging lets you track the species, length, and location from your wrist or the COROS app. COROS NOMAD's built-in microphone allows you to add voice notes so you can log gear information, such as the type of lure you used. Capture what worked while it's fresh in your mind.

As you explore new coves, or float different depths, you can drop a Pin to mark promising spots and points of interest such as cover, structures, or hazards. Think of these as strategic breadcrumbs you’ll want when planning your next outing.

Every outing becomes part of a personal database, helping you dial in patterns over time and return to the spots that produced.

Remember, Review, and Refine

After a long day on the water, your memories are all saved in the app. Data from every catch, photo, voice note, and pin drop becomes part of your digital fishing journal. Even when you come home empty-handed, the data is valuable. You can identify patterns, refine your approach, and come back smarter next time.

In the Activity Summary, you can review the time you spent fishing versus the time spent moving from one spot to another. In addition to the environmental data from the day, a detailed GPS route with overlay of your pins and catches captures your entire fishing trip in one place.

If you snapped photos or filmed clips along the way, you can upload them to see exactly where those moments happened on your GPS track.

Finally, COROS lets you prove to your friends that your catch really was that big. You can easily generate a link to share your experience with photos, stats, and saved pins so others can celebrate the adventure with you.
